The
Kentucky Music Hall of Fame has set forth a goal to
be an educational source for anyone desiring to increase their
knowledge of Kentucky’s music history and music fundamentals
in general.
|
|
|
|
At this time we
have in place a Teacher’s
Study Guide and Education Packet for the
purpose of preparing the minds of students who will be
visiting the Hall of Fame and utilizing the educational points
it offers. The Study Guide is available to download for your
use.
|
|
In
addition to the Study Guide, The Kentucky Music Hall
of Fame offers a Music Residency Program.
The Resident Musicians make visits to classrooms and
gymnasiums all over the state of Kentucky explaining
the similarities and differences of instruments and
the various types of music represented at the
museum.

|

Danny Barnes (Shown
with mandolin) and Randall Conn
(Shown with banjo) demonstrate traditional and modern
bluegrass and Appalachian mountain music by teaching the
history of the instruments and playing songs from each
genre of music. Each has over 30 years of professional
experience performing and teaching music.
The Kentucky Music
Hall of Fame has Resident Musicians for all
genres of music and can travel to all counties in
Kentucky. Anyone interest in attending a workshop
pertaining to songwriting, singing, or any
particular instrument can contact the Hall of Fame
for more details.
